Looking for Satmex 6 @ 113W

Now seeing presumably data signals on 11706 H 5000, 11803 H 17624 and 11864 H 1398 that don't lock. But I see no TV signals. Is this Satmex 6?

I got that with a motorized 80cm dish, once I switched over to a 1meter fixed dish I was able to get the chinese tp.
Since it's scrambled irdeto I re-aimed for something else.

I used to get Satmex 6 and Satmex 5 maybe a year ago or more with this same dish including all that are ITC. But seasons and conditions change, and leaves arrive. I'm hoping if it's the leaves, they'll soon be falling.

I have 11803H 17500 instead of your 11803H 17624
I also have your 11864H 1398 on Satmex 6 at 113W.
There are several free channels available on this satellite, most are listed on Lyngsat. EB

The SR scanned in at 17624 on 11803. I've deleted that and still receive it with SR 17500. So this confirms I'm on Satmex 6 anyway. Tried an Accurate Scan using the S9 with the same results. I think here at the edge of nowhere with a 1-metre dish received signals from this sat are just a little too weak. I do receive BVN on 101W (for another 11 days) and the Chinese channel on 95W.

Where are you located that a 1m dish can't pick up those sats?

I'm receiving several channels from both 113w and 116.8w in Northern Michigan on a 1.2m dish. I would think anyone South of my location should get these sats.
I often check Reuters news service when some global news story is breaking. 113w 12047 H 14300

According to satbeams.com, Nova Scotia is well outside of the footprints for Satmex 5 and 6. They forgot about Atlantic Canada when designing their footprints. I only have a chance to receive Satmex 8 if their footprints are correct.

The leaves have fallen. Now receiving Satmex8 @ 116.8W. Only one channel locks in: ESNE 12080 H 3000. My Openbox doesn't indicate but judging by SQ this must be a DVB-S2 signal. To receive 125W at 11 degrees elevation, I would need to move dish to peak through the hole on the right side of this photo. So 116.8W is 7 degrees azimuth to the left of that hole and just above the foliage at 17 degrees elevation.

With my 1-metre fixed dish I have now found both Satmex 8 and 6. I'm becoming a fan of fixed dishes: much easier to find sats and receive signals than relying on a motor that constantly needs attention.

If I had a fixed dish for each sat I scan in, I would need to buy a house with a bigger back yard and my wife would probably leave me. Nothing better then a bud or 2 to cover the whole arc. I'm glad to hear your finally picking up SatMex 6.
