More questions from a novice...

Hello all.

1.- What does each do and differ ?
-Auto scan
-Blind scan
-TP transponder scan
-Manual scan
-PID scan (this I may figure out)

2.- Now using a X2 mini premium; better than the X2 mini M1, no doubt.
Used to the Mini M1 as first and only experience; that had the 'tuning' parameters shown at every channel list display. How to bring to screen the same information on the X2 mini premium when surfing channels ?

3.- Doing a blind scan, is it possible that channels from more than one satellite show up on the resulting listing ? How to discern which channel comes from which satellite ?

-Auto scan = I do not Know
-Blind scan = Scans for transponders without using any set values
-TP transponder scan = Scans individual transponder for channels
-Manual scan = I do not know
-PID scan = Scans for a channel using the information that has been entered

(3) You may get channels from more than one satellite if you are using a small dish or if your dish is not aimed or set correctly.

Autoscan : I think is scanning pre- programed transponders into your receiver or image
Manual scan: scan channels using their particular transponder & Symbol rate
to me blind scan is the best way. This will scan all possible channels from the satellite aimed with your dish... Not from other satellites, Not aimed

Thank you guys.

Found another: NIT scan; it is in the X2 mini premium manual. A manual written for expert users, with dozens of unexplained acronyms.

If the antenna is aiming at 98W, it may pick both 97W and 99W satellites, is that right ?

In a previous post, was told to 'tune' to 3813/H/8029 on Galaxy 16C-99W, where ThisTV and CW are now. A manual scan on the X2 mini premium does not allow to set 3813. Adjacent choices shown are 3810 for transponder 7 and 3825 for transponder 8.
Please tell me the magic to tune to 3813 MHz :shy:

Thanks, bandido. Nope, did not work on blind scan.

Got deeper into futzing with the 'manual scan' and found an option to 'create transponder' . Reluctantly, afraid of losing/deleting/messing up the existent ones; did it and manually entered the 3813 frequency. 4 new HD channels appeared.
-Happy !-
