hi folks...i'm a leftover from the "untrue" fta days...my box is a cs5000 knockoff lol...i have 2 of the old style smaller dishes pointed at 2 of daves birds...from what i've read so far it seems i'll need to get a larger dish with a motor and perhaps a new box....in a nutshellwhat kind of un-encrypted programming is out there?....just wondering if i would find it worth while ....thanks

You have read correct...true FTA is certainly worth while..there are hundreds off good channels out there for free.

Just depends on what system you have..Combination of C band and Ku band is the ultimate.

Myself I am just using a 36" dish with a motor and am very happy with it. more than enough to watch on regular feeds, then we also have wild feeds for sports and more.

Your coolsat 5000 would work just fine for these, still a nice box with blind scan and great picture..But you would miss out on the High Definition channels.
