Oddly enough, when all this hullabaloo about health care first started, I remember Obama repeatedly stating that there needed to be universal health care for all Americans. What has, in fact, happened is mandatory health insurance be purchased by Americans. This is strange because 1) If Americans could have afforded health insurance in the first place, they would have already purchased it, 2) There is nothing that mandates "affordable" health insurance so only the insurance companies are going to come out as winners in this deal and 3) for those that can't afford the health insurance, they will be assessed a fine. Now if they can't afford the health insurance how are they to afford the fine? Oh yea, this only applies to Americans, not illegal aliens. From here, in Ontario, it sure seems like a case of the tail wagging the dog. JMHO.
