Porsche Taycan charges at 800v 270kw!

The word "Energize" has new meaning.
If things continue to improve, a full charge will take about the same amount of time as filling the tank with gas.

And how much does it cost to recharge at this rate??

At normal house hold electric costs it would be about $8.00 (15 cents a KWh)

270 KWh at 800 volts is about 340 amps, is this DC voltage?? If so then this is a very dangerous deal.

Around 720 watts equals one horsepower. You need thousands of watts to power a decent car.
Both Hybrid and electric vehicles will have high voltage and high current draw. This is something that has to be respected and dealt with when servicing electric or hybrid vehicles.

Check out Electrify America and look on the map for a high speed charger near you. Many W@lmart and T@rget are getting them installed. The electrical panels are pretty big. I got a good look at one that was under construction in NJ. Terryl, the rates are shown on the website but you basically need the Chademo or CCS connector to utilize the high speed charging. IE Nissan Leaf, Chevy Bolt, etc.

My Ford C-Max charges at 3.3kw which is the low end. Many other EV will charge at about double that with the standard plug. CCS or Chademo will do about 50kw-100kw charging to put it in perspective.
