Merry Christmas and the Staff thanks you for the kind words..

OK folks, thanks a lot for all the good wishes. It was GREAT that the promise of a late Christmas present would arrive this week. I already have the dish that this will move, and I already have all the switches needed, so this will be an addition to the living room receiver that sorely needs an update, so this motor will be GREATLY appreciated by the entire household.

Again, thank you. When I get a chance to work on this, there WILL be pictures, I promise.

Photto, you package is on the way. I shipped it via air, so you will have it tomorrow as long as Customs does not hold it up...

Hey, Viper (and gang), it got here yesterday, Thursday, 12/29/2011. I haven't opened the package yet, I wanted to wait til I had a chance to take a picture. I was a little hesitant about opening it, looks like one side was opened with a drop of several feet. I could actually put my hand inside, and felt that there was another box inside. Momentary memory lapse, I had to ask Phottoette if we were expecting anything. SHE had to remind me that I was looking for a motor to be delivered. The UPS driver was all about putting down the company that packaged it in some old Chinese box that had already been used several times, her attitude was really off the wall. Then she wanted to take it back for an insurance claim ... NO WAY !!!

We were actually on our way out the door when the UPS driver pulled into the yard, so I didn't have a chance to take any pictures yesterday when it got here and we were out pretty late.

So ... here it sits, and the camera is at my sisters house, but I am going over there today and I'll bring back the camera and take pictures.

As a matter of fact, when I DO get the camera, I'll start shooting a series of movies to post on YouTube and make a series of what to do (or in my case, maybe, what NOT to do) as a dish is placed on a pole with a motor and how to aim it to the south. We'll see about that one. I have another series that I am putting together on how to build something else, plus a very short video on something I put on my website.

I am taking an on line course on building a web business and a web site, and last week I learned how to post on YouTube and even better, how to embed a video and post it ... watch out world, Phottoman is Armed and Dangerous.

Again, Thank you Viper, and Thank you Legitfta.

Well I shipped it by air, maybe they through it out of the plane without a parachute....lol

I'll tell yaa UPS are ones to talk, they use boxes that look like they have been around the world in 80 days...

Anyway it was a box in a box and they are tough, I'm sure it's fine..

Oh, NO, Viper, I never thought there was a problem with the box INSIDE the package. I could see it, through the tear, it was her attitude that I was more commenting on, and the fact that as soon as I said anything, she actually tried to grab it out of my hands to "return it to the sender." THAT was what had pissed me off.

I didn't get the camera (yet) so I am going to hold off opening it. I really want you to see the condition it arrived here in.

And man, it would'a been OK to ship by ground, much cheaper since I won't have time to work on getting it up for a few days or weeks, I finally started back to work today, after a tragic set of circumstances in Las Vegas three weeks ago that has kept me out of work. (I don't gamble, so that wasn't it) It sure felt good to get back to work, even if for only half a day today, and again tomorrow.
