TORONTO - Toronto loves Charlie Sheen.
He followed our smoking laws and didn't light up.
"I think this is the first city where I'm not going to need a smoke," Sheen said to a cheering crowd at Massey Hall.
He was joined by Brampton, Ont., comic Russell Peters and one of the first things Peters did was introduce Sheen to Russell Oliver, the Cash Man, who was in the front row.
"You may have enough money to marry Denise," Sheen later told Oliver.
At one point someone in the crowd yelled out, asking Sheen to do a line with him.
"I'm clean now," Sheen said, adding he never sold drugs.
He went into the audience to take questions, including how many women he has had sex with in one night.
Sheen admitted that the first actress he bedded was Jennifer Grey.
He said his fallout with Warner Bros. was because they were telling lies about him.
"I couldn't sit idly by. I was getting $1.25 million an episode. They should know they can't give me that much money and have things stay the same."
It was an excellent show, said Mike Stevens.
"What is absent is the crazy," Stevens said.
Brandon Teschke came to the show to see what all the hype was about.
"He makes people laugh," Teschke said. "I want to see if the show is up or down."
Mike Katsiouras came out because he was a fan of Sheen's show, Two and a Half Men.
"I'm seeing him on the news and I want to see if he is as good as they say," Katsiouras said.
Sheen's tour has had mixed success.
In some cities people have booed and walked out, in others Sheen got standing ovations.
TMZ reports Warner Bros. lawyers have sent a letter to Sheen instructing him to stop lying about any plans to come back to Two and a Half Men.
Sheen, who was fired from his hit show after nine years, is known for his fondness for prostitutes and drugs, failed rehab attempts and odd behaviour.
Thursday's show was so popular that Friday's was added to meet the demand, a spokesman for Massey Hall said.
But that's the last Toronto show because Sheen is to appear at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City Saturday night.
Ticket prices range from $79.50 to $109.50.
The Canadian portion of the tour will wrap in Vancouver on May 2, with a final performance near Seattle the next night.
