EB, I've been using smartctl in telnet to keep track of the temperature and info on the installed ssd in my sf8008 due to some quirky recording errors lately.
It helps when checking the current status to see if it passes the self-assessment test. Would you pls add it to Tnap?

I was wondering... rather than having to use the telent option, has anyone come across a plugin that will display temperature info for the ssd drive in the second info bar of a skin? Similar to the BitRate Setup plugin? Or display info in the information section of the main menu.
 
I added smartctl which should be available on any TNAP image after 11-18-2025. It is very hard to get consistent information out of a fta receiver due to the cheapness of the device as compared to an even inexpensive Linux computer. Anyway, try it and see how it works. We may attempt to build it into the image menus somehow.
 
Thanks much appreciated. I've been using it with an earlier version of Tnap and it works well for me.

I will try the 11-18-2025 version when it's available.
