Telesat has initiated commercial service on its new......Nimiq 6 satellite. The entire capacity of Nimiq 6 is contracted for 15 years to Bell TV, Canada
 
Well this is good news for me since i always look for stuff on 91 w already on the American sat i guess galaxy 17 so im thinking this should have stuff from canada which is good i like seeing stuff from there as well. always nice having some thing new on the ku side since loosing 74w ku and 79w ku since they retired those sats always nice to have something to add for finding feeds and what ever pops up on the commercial side of this new sat also on 91w.
 
What I've heard is that this sat, whose footprint is almost exclusively for Canada, will not be available for tv piracy in the US with the exception of people living close to the Canadian border. Nimiq6' footprint is identical to Nimiq4 at 82w which only allows reception in Canada and far north on the US border.
 
I also thought this sat would have stuff in the ku band for sat feeds and all like it does now on 91w from canada like maybe more folks would use this sat to send stuff on so i could see it here but now after re reading this i see its not the sat i thought more like a bel only sat i guess
