I want a stinkin clock that works! Ok, I want a little more. I've invested a little money in order to make some money.
I have tons of stuff but some of my best is as listed. If anyone wants dibs I'll have to get pics and stuff and describe every detail about each item.
I bought a 1956 Dukane Tube AMP and two American Microphone D7T Clipper microphones. The Amp is a PA head type, no speaker.
The Mics are 1940 models with original cords and chrome. They look very nice for 72 years old. The blues guys love them for "Harp" mics. However the elements are dead. They go for $50 (for crap, cleaned with steel wool...a mess, no chrome or shine, and cords that look like a mower ran them over) to $250 for a really nice one. They replace the element anyway in most cases. All I can think of is they are going to re electro plate chrome them?
The AMP goes like $150 to $300 depending on condition and mine works, and looks good. The guitar guys like the AMP for its sound. Tubes can be replaced with a Russian model for more output, fairly cheap. Power light is a bulb, burned out. Includes original schematics.
I have a Sapphire Radeon HD 5770 1GB PCIe that is in fantastic shape. About $80. I also have a Sapphire Radeon HD 6870 1GB with box that goes about $120, aslo in great shape. These prices are for used cards in good condition.
I also have a 3DFX Voodoo5 5500 AGP Dual GPU/SLI card that goes $75 to $100 and I have the original box and CD.
Depending on how I do reflects exactly how much cash I will have. I also have $500 in property taxes due at Christmas, but I have money in the bank. This is why I can't buy right now. I have to recoup some of my investments.
Anyway, I've been watching items on ebay to see the market value. I say $400 for the AMP and both Mics is a deal (starting bid). The Radeon video cards are priced about right. And the Voodoo, well, it is vintage and only a collector or someone wanting to build a vintage Linux box would want it, so how bad determins the value on that. They've went for like $75 to $100 recently.
If I can get my asking prices it gives me about $675 to do what I want with. I've been very busy making a buck and I have a lot of little stuff...$25-$100 depending on how bidding goes and who is bidding.
As you all know, this cash will not come over night but I've been looking at the Raptor, Anaconda, waiting on Amiko 2 and I want to buy from legit.
I need to do some reading here but any tips are very welcome.
I put this here because it is not a for sale ad, it is a plan to sell, and brag a little about the deals I have found. I also bought me and my Wife a Playbook, hers is a 32GB and mine a 64GB. I just couldn't pass them up...they're awesome and gonna get a lot better. Anyway, there went enough cash to have the best receiver.
Just kinda chit chatting about what I've been up to and oh boy...My dish was way off...didn't know it...Most of a day to tweak it and boy am I happy now. Looked like someone might have tried to steal it...loose (not tight enough) bolts and stuff. I know they were tight.
S9 is having intermittent HDMI. When warn, boots with no HDMI. When cool, boots like new. Not FW or mode releated. I replaced some caps but still boots with no HDMI when warm. Not hot, just normal use warm. Also, replacing the 400v 33uf cap in the main power supply seemed to fix all my lockups on ION's and other stuff. Texas Cable Network is the only one that gives it trouble. Using 7-31-11 FW.
If you've ever overclocked a computer then you know more work takes more power...I think it was cheap & weak. It also doesn't stutter on 1080 that I can find.
It is gonna be getting hot outside meaning I'm gonna be inside! So, soon I'll drop in and bug ya a little more often.
Oh yeah, MAXTHON ROCKS! I put the Chrome skin on it and LOVE IT!
