Well, the dealer is coming out to pick up the TV, either this afternoon or, if they don't have time, tomorrow. We'll see where I go from there. Luckily I still have the old 52" in the basement and I have the S-9, although when I connected the S-9, last night, all I could get was 35% signal strength and 10% (= 0) quality. Just wondering maybe my BUD didn't get hit, as well, although there is no sign of any damage to the BUD of LNBF.
Good morning Shepp, EC, Viper and all Legit peeps, have a great Wednesday. Damn EC, that sounds real bad- all my stuff is connected to the top of the line power surge protectors, never know what can happen in an electrical storm. If you need any equipment, including a receiver please do not hesitate to ask my friend as I have plenty to go around.
There was no sign of damage with my equipment either, apart from it would not work..lol
But my C-band LNB was toast, the KU was ok, but the switch was zapped, so you might check on replacing the switch..probably the signal problem there.
No switch in my setup. I have a BSC 621LNBF(compliments of Costa) and that runs directly to the V-Box. I may pick up another LNBF, just to be safe when I get another positioner.
Just so happens that I have a couple of lnbf and ku lnb in my garage, no extra positioners though but an extra openbox s9 and a 24" actuator.
I know Roger at rpssat is in Vaudreuil and may have a vbox in stock, the place in IlePerot is on Grand blvd. but I don not remember the name of the place.
Make sure you call your insurance company so you will get compensated for everything that was damaged.
