Well, not much of a day to do a lot, outside, so I decided to try to figure out why I can find my C Band sats but they didn't seem to have as many channels as they used to and blind scanning was a waste of time as I found nothing. Well, what I have discovered is that if you don't pay close attention to what you are doing, you can think all is well when it's not. Trying to adjust the skew and focal point from a ladder didn't seem to gain me anything so I took another approach. I ran the BUD all the way west so that it was close to the ground, made adjustments and then moved back to a sat to see if I was getting any improvements. About 20 trips out and back from the BUD, moving it back to the sat to check Q% and my %Q kept getting better and better. Lo and behold I am once again getting what I had before. Last time I will try to measure the focal distance and accept that the formula works. I have improved the %Q by a god 10 to 15% by moving the LNB closer to the dish than it should be. Now it's time for a beer and try some blind scanning, although it appears Costa has been hard at it already.

What works for one does not work for all..This is why we call it testing, and I thank you for testing! The beer will help too....lol

Every setup is unique. As much experience as we have can help guide others but in the end they will need to figure it out by themselves. An example would be changing an lnbf which I have done about 5 times on my bud, the distance to the dish always changes depending on the unit itself. Good to hear your making progress EC, lots of sats to be blindscanned and how is ku doing and your anaconda?

Getting the Ku sats back in, as well, bud. The Ananconda is another issue. Still working on that and am I using the S-9 for now.
