I have a project I'm working on and I need a VBox-X that was sold by Galaxy Marketing some years ago. It doesn't need to be in perfect condition. I just need the buttons and the main board. Will buy or trade for?
I have all kinds of satellite stuff that you might want, Receivers, LNBs, feed horns, switches and even an ASC1 and more.

What about feed horns? what brands ?

Do not want to totally hi-jack this thread and your quest for a V-Box X, but would love to learn more about this custom hi-performance ASC1 positioner.

Maybe you have/or can start a thread on how you did this and what parts needed?

And sorry, but i do not have a V-Box X.

I owned one long ago, can not even remember what happened to it but it is long gone.

I wish you good luck on your quest to find one.
 
Nothing real trick. I pulled the dish motor transformer from a DSR920 to replace the ASC1 stock unit and power the motor circuit. For the logic board a transformer from a Uniden receiver fits the bill. I rotated the main board (chassis) 90° clockwise which lines up the connectors on the board with the external connectors on the case allowing me to substantially shorten the leads. I replaced a resister on the display to correct the contrast that was a little off on most of these.

You still looking for a V-box X? I have one, and need money for medical bills.

Fearless didn't need one anymore, so I sold this on SatelliteGuys site.
