If anyone happens to be playing around on AMC1 would you mind checking to see if 3904V 4789 is still active. I was getting it, albeit with a weak signal, until the other day when I upgraded firmware but now i am not. Just wondering if PixL has flown the coup or it's my setup.

Really odd EC. I'm having difficulties on all tp on this sat. Even the tp with the Greek channel Ant1 is jumping from 7-70% signal quality- are they making the transition to Ses 3 or something?

Must have been some type of glitch which I've never seen happen before, it's all good now:

Not sure what is going on except that SES-3 is over Africa, right now, at 2.0 E moving 3.9 degrees east per day as per Lyngsat. What is the tp info for Ant-1?

I have been moving the dish back and forth with no luck. The only thing, left, would be a possible vertical adjustment so I will wait until there is someone here to keep an eye on the TV to let me know of any changes.

I found it odd that no tp or channels for that matter were opening at approx. 11:52 this morning and then all of the sudden it all came back as if nothing had happened.

That is very odd, because I had the ION networks fine. The only tp I am having any problems with is 3904. Spent a while, this morning bumping the dish back and forth and blind scanning in different locations trying to find it but with no luck.

Well, maybe SES-3 will turn around come back. As I said earlier, discussion on another site says that it is not due to go into service until mid 2012

EC, I believe the signal has dropped on this TP..we both use the same size dish and Costa has the larger dish..It's still working for me but..I had to bump the dish a little east and even then it's fluctuating between 7 and 25% still watchable..this is with the Manhattan. But a definite signal drop on this TP.

Thanks, even on a good day with my S9 I was gett bouncing between 5 and 20%, obviously with some stuttering. I may try to see if I can improve it with a bit of vertical dish adjustment but with wind a snow in the forecast for the next 2 days, it might be a few days before I get to it.

An stb like the azbox with a much more sensitive tuner would pull that signal in easily. I've been scanning the Atlantic sats lately and the azbox ultra has been kicking butt in comparison to the openbox s9- especially s2 tp on Intelsat 805 at 55.5w.

Well, lo and behold, I have had success. No signal, this morning and I had noticed that after upgrading, more than one sat seemed to have lower Q. Not significantly enough to have any effect but less, none the less. Considering my Q on tp3904 was very low to start, I decided to try something. I lowered the dish slightly on the vertical, with no change. I then raised the dish slightly, on the vertical and started seeing a minor fluctuation from 10 to 12%. Then I bumped the dish slightly east and managed to lock onto the tp. Oddly enough, after updating the firmware I found that I had to bump almost every sat slightly east or slightly west to get the same Q signal as before. So, after only 5 days I have everything back to normal and I have figured out the recoding on the S9. The only thing I have not done is managed to get the previously recorded movies back on to the external HDD so they will play but that is sure not the end of the world. Too bad the AZ Box is as pricey as it is. Hopefully somebody will put out an stb that is high quality at an affordable price.
