channells with Mpeg 4 compression

Welcome to the site lobo, good to see you posting. What exactly do you mean about firmware? The openbox will open all Mpeg4 channels with the exception of 4:2:2 feeds. All s2/8psk channels will scan in but not 8psk turbo like providers Bell and Dish Network use.

I have few channels that i tried to scan from Intelsat 805 55.5 west c band but the openbox s9 can't get them.

The frequency is 3680 v 1355 this channel is DVB-S Mpeg4 free to air

Thanks for repying my post

I moved my 10' bud over to Intelsat 805 at 55.5w but no signal quality on that tp on my openbox or azbox. The openbox will do s2/8psk and I am scanning in hd tp on that sat with it. That tp is probably not in our footprint but probably for South America and Brasil.

Thanks Costactc for your coments but i know it works here in north america because i had it going on this box but since i load a newer version of software i coulden't scan it any more even i try to manualy input the frequency but no success the reason that i loa a newer version of software was because the remote control didin't work good.

I found this site with the latest firmware for north America

Code:
http://www.yojiatech.com/a/Support/

I tested but i coulden't get into the menu.

Channels do come and go in fta, at least we have resolved the issue of the openbox opening mpeg4 channels. I'll keep me eyes on that tp for future reference when I scan Intelsat 805.

The problem with channel wasn't coming and go, w.ent because I change the bin file that came with it.
I have other receiver in wich that particular channel is working good on it but i can't get it any more on the OPENBOX after the firmware was changed.

Any ideas

I'll give it a shot with both my openbox and azbox, I can't see how a bin file would affect signal quality on a particular channel.

Although the second picture from my azbox is not very clear, no signal on both my hd stb- cannot be a coincidence.

Hello Lobo, and Welcome to Legit.
That site is not a very good place to get firmware.
We have good firmware posted here in the files section. I try to keep the Openbox firmware updated here and it has a decent list of North American satellites and transponders in it. You may want to try it when you get a chance. EB

Thanks to everybody that tried to help me out, soon i'll post some pics or maybe the bin file.
