New linux kernal and issues with Hauppauge 950q

I downloaded and installed the image in this link, which is the exact same image that should be shipped with a Titanium MIO:
https://legitfta.com/forum/showthread.php?26503-TNAP-SatDreamGr-Image-MOD

Hauppuage 950Q and 955 were inserted into the MIO before the image was installed. The results are easy to see.

Sometimes when there is a hardware problem or hardware failure, people will mess with the software thinking that is the problem. Then when the hardware problem is solved, the firmware is messed up. This action or sequence of events is pretty common.

Nothing is wrong with TNAP. The supported Hauppauge devices have been checked and are found to be working

I can't get OpenPli 7.2 to display the Hauppauge 950Q on the available Turners window. I have all the drivers installed. It works fine with TNAP1 and OpenVIX latest image.

It looks like PLI is still on kernel 5.3, which means the 850 and 950Q are not supported. I have already written about this in another thread.

It should also be noted that ATSC support for the Hauppauge 850 and 950Q usb devices stopped for a brief period of time, probably only in images with a kernel of 5.2 and 5.3 due to driver issues. Support for the Hauppauge 850 and 950Q usb devices was restored in images for the MIO line of receivers using kernel 5.4.0 and 5.4.1. Most of the current images are using kernel 5.4.1, which supports all three ATSC devices.

I try to post anything that would make life easier for North American MIO/MIO+ users in this section:
https://legitfta.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?429-The-North-American-Project-E2-Image-Discussions

A lot of what is posted for the MIO receivers would apply to other enigma2 receivers.

The openpli-7.2 release was bad timing with kernel 5.4.1 by about a week or so.
Seems Openpli team does not change the kernel during the current release like satdreamgr and the OE images do so the next release of Openpli should be kernel 5.4.1 or newer whenever that happens.
