New TP-Telstar 12

Cool, NHK on Ku-band. Thanks for posting, there's no telling how long it would've taken to find those on my own because my receiver handles the SR 45000 transponders really weird. It has to sit on them for several seconds before it recognizes them, just like it does for extra-LOW SRs, which doesn't make any sense. But anyway, sometimes it won't lock before the blind scan times out, so I have to scan the TPs manually. In fact, I had to let it sit on 12043 for several MINUTES before it would lock, so I would've NEVER found it. I just don't get it, the signal quality is good when it does lock them.

Also, I don't know what the problem is with MSNBC, but I'm no longer getting ANY signal on it at all (for months, it's been too weak to watch, but it showed up on the meter.) This is also particularly strange, because the other transponders, TPAI/RTVGE and Poder de Dios, are coming in stronger than they EVER have tonight.

Hope these new ones on 15W are still there. I'm going outside to spin my fixed dish around based on this report.

Added: Can only see TPAI/RTVGE, Poder de Dios, and colour bars on 12004 H 6110 labeled CBC / SRC Paris (banner GCP Occa). For some reason, can't trick my S9 into receiving the SR 45000 tps today. Maybe signal is a little weak. Just coming out of a storm and there are still heavy clouds in the sky. I've pretty much given up on MSNBC. I can't believe atmospheric conditions are responsible for its impossibility to be received anymore.

12004 was only a short feed of an interview of a guy in French. It's gone now. Going out to change my SL2 standard LNB to my Multistar universal that I've had more luck with in past.

el bandido's comment proves what I'm thinking. I used to use a 35"x39" dish to receive MSNBC easily here at 44 degrees North latitude with SQ 60~65%. Now even at his southern latitude, he is receiving it weakly on a 1.2m dish. I'll bet there isn't anybody in the north still receiving it.

Added: Did complete re-orientation of the dish today and MSNBC is now peaking SQ 63%. I guess it's been there all along but I just couldn't find it. Everything else is stronger too on 15W. But those recently reported new ITC channels are still gone. Too bad. At least I'm sure I'll be able to receive them now if they get reported again.

8W seriously? There are only European, Middle East and African spot beams for these 2 satellites.

Don't believe all you read. 10960 V 5000 on 8W with 4 channels has been receivable for weeks now on the east coast. They slip in and out of being $ channels and are now $. SQ 35% this morning is half what SQ was last night.

Good to know. Unfortunately I can't get my ku dish to go any lower then 15w although my c band dishes do go to 11w.

Finally I have signal 48% on the X2 on MSNBC channel After 5-6 months with no signal .Maybe they rise it or the leaves are fall down ..
