A team of university researchers in New Jersey has figured out how to disable drivers
 
So, if I understand this, correctly, any vehicle equipped with blue tooth technology would disable the smartphone closest to the drivers seat. Wonder how they are going to deal with that in police cars. Within the past week I have seen 2 near accidents involving cruisers where the officer was on a cell phone, one where the cruiser just continued on through a red light. How would this technology deal with a case where the engine, for whatever reason, is running and the phone user needed to call 911?
 
It is a good idea to stop peeps from using their cells while driving (unless with a hands free device some kinks need to be worked out though I imagine. They cause so many accidents, I hate driving by someone and seeing them on their phone, makes me want to pull them over for it. We followed a lady in a snow storm once and she was driving a lot slower then need be and it was not safe to pass her but when we were finally able to do so, she was on her stupid phone...
 
Can't stand when people are talking on their phones, hands free or not, pisses me off!!
 
Enforcing the law no cel's while driving I can understand But them disabling anything of mine I don't like I don't break that law. Now making big fines Yes If you are a repeat offender give jail time. I think their into to much of our personal lifes now.
