Octagon SF-4008

I have the egami image on my Miraclebox receiver and is very good, Regarding the Octagon, have you order yours yet? I sent a e-mail to the store where I purchased my VU+ and Miraclebox receivers, they don't have the Octagon on their receiver list but they say they can get me one in a week and ship it to me, I ask for pricing.
Have you seen any updates on blind scan?
I will let you guys know.

No, I have not ordered one yet, but probably will in the next few days or couple weeks. This is a freshly minted receiver, and more will be selling it within a month.

Any Octagon receiver updates that I know of will be posted here. Blindscan is on the "To Do" list, but you can be sure that it is not at the top of that list. Seems blindscan and motor controls have always been dead last for priorities.

Prices are moot if they do not ship here. Most if not all of that list will not ship outside the U.K.

Best price I have seen for a twin DVB-S2x is 180 Euro. That does not include shipping or other fees.

Others that ship here should eventually have them.

I only want to do business with a vendor that is well known. I want somebody that knows what to do if there is a problem and one that accepts PayPal or major credit card.

Never said anything about U.S. shipments; but a good reference for price and availability in Euro, present and future. When the market stabilizes, the retailers willing to ship to the U.S. will materialize.
 
I inquired at Satshop.fi if they plan to stock the Octagon SF4008. Their reply this morning was, " Yes we will. I'll try to put it on line today. We can get them in about 1 week after we get your order." No mention of price, they will ship to NA.
 
My plan is to purchase the Octagon SF4008 soon also. It has the specs that I want and supposedly has good tuners won't need the TBS5925. I have my Vu+ Duo 2 up on Kijiji for sale, keeping my Vu+ Solo2.
This weekend we will be salvaging a 12 foot mesh in great shape still on the pole, cheap. It's about 50 feet off his driveway in a field with 2.5 feet of snow in the way, it will be worth it, no whining here. Not sure of the make yet nor do I have a good picture of it yet, either way we are grabbing it, more spare parts.
 
Well I ordered one and hope it is as good as advertised.There is too much "junk" out there with little quality engineered in them.Let you know when I receive it.

If you want to hold off for a bit I'll probably be getting these direct from Octagon and add them to the Legit-Shop once we clarify the tuner APSK question.
Once we know we will post here and if good make an SF-4008 section and go from there.
 
Good morning all. I have one question too all in the know, will the Octagon SF4008 with dual S2x tuners operate within the North American satellite system. I don't believe S2x is backwards compatible. Too much stuff to digest on this topic. Thanks
