Request /features that may be added if possible or report any bugs/issues HERE

I was trying to play an avi through the usb with a thumb drive, the avi played back fine except ,no sound. The audio was coded in mpeg aac. Is that difficult to implement in the code? Thanks for a great receiver!

Would it be possible to have separate categories for scanning to make it possible for FTA only or All. Radio separate from TV. Seems like not enough choices among the headings of scanning and too much is under one.

Frequency limits for scanning like start 11700 to stop 12200 mhz for example.

1. Could there be a firmware version with east facing satellites. I like the receiver but all of the satellites are West facing and of no use to me in my part of the world.

2. Furthermore, the strength meter for the signal is always at 75-79 regardless of where I face the dish even when its directly facing the wall. This makes it hard to determine left-right azimuth and ultimately makes picking even the most basic satellite doubly difficult.

Thanks

Thank you for your inputs. We will take a note and make sure XSAT/ X2 received your request,

Hey Vip3r

Here is a request I got from someone for the X2. Can you forward this to Xsat/X2 to see if it can be implemented in the next releases??

regards,
Carlos

"""Carlos, on the X2, after hitting OK, in the channel list, pressing either the FAV or the SAT button does the same thing, that is, they just go to another sat, there is no list, so I have no way of knowing what sat is going to come next when I hit the Button.
But, I just noticed, on the Geosat HDVR1200, pressing 'SAT' button in channel list will bring up a list of Sats to choose from, FAV button does nothing.(I have not set any favorites)

1. load euro firmware instead
2. signal strength only measures the connection from receiver to lnb.You could be aimed at the ground and still get signal strength. It's the signal quality you want to adjust for.

works great. thx
Would be good when do autoscan save the settings for next scan. for example if you only scan tv channels put it next time that do another scan.

i purchased one and tried the latest firmware which did not work out so well. the box kept rebooting or the lnbs lost power.
i installed the july file and at least it more or less stopped losing the lnbs.
my last concern is that i cannot find a good way to enter my fss lnb settings for a blind scan. is ku bandstacked there?
i didnt not see it
thanks

I haven't seen a ku bandstacked setting but you may try the user lnb option and there is an option there for dual user lnb, try to enter your two different lnb settings into that and see if it works. I had some double scanning problems with my cband bandstacked setup so I would have to edit the channel lists afterwards.

limited success with that. scanned double everything it seemed and well over 400 found.
however, with a manual tp entry (10750, 13850 lnb setting) it did find the channels on the H tp i manually entered.
so it uses the numbers, it just doesn't know how to scan with them. (it seems)

Having an option to do a detailed scan, or be able to adjust the "step" rate the X2 is using would be great. I'm using the latest Sept firmware, and generally works fine, but it still misses channels sometimes. Using a 1m dish on 87w mine can no longer see the Louisana PBS channels, skips over them for some reason-but it does find LPBS "Feeds" channel.
Edit: I have learned the LPBS channels on 87w may be gone, at least temporarily, so That is not the X2's fault! Still , having the variable blind scan would be wonderful.

Euro firmware can be found on their site, since most of us live in North America our site has that version. Unless shipped from the US, the x2 comes equipped with Euro fw.

With the power off button on the remote control.
Turn off the device by pressing the power button device
Much time bieng on !!!!! and this big problem

Number of Usable Satellites

SW Version: r2890-32202607 -xs0

I have added several satellites and presently have 81. I don't know what the limit is, but hopefully it is 99.

I cannot check more than 64 satellites to use in the Satellite Setting Window. I need 17 more satellites to be available, but 99 (total) would allow the X2 Premium HD to view channels on all visible C and Ku Satellites.

Some time back I noticed that the LPB channels would disappear. I called them and spoke to one of their engineers. He told me that the satellite broadcast feeds are for backup in the event of a failure of their fiber optic distribution system.

They also uplink HS football games etc with their trucks, when in season. When they do that, the normal satellite feeds are shut down.

Backyard FTA RULE #!

NEVER call, NEVER email, NEVER contact the uplinker!!!

That's what gets things scrambled permanently! 99% of this stuff is NOT meant for us, and when you bring the fact to their attention that there are regular people out there watching it via their direct satellite feed, they don't like that.
