I haven't played around much with Pluto tv but for the most part it seems to load ok. When I get some time I'm planning on a more in depth probe of it. I like some of Pluto's content

The pluto tv VOD alone is what I like about it. You might need to update PlutoTv plugin. I did Here is the latest IPK that will fix the VOD.

El bandido, Are those nightlies in your tnap5-images directory? I am happy to try them. As a North American who relies heavily on my motor, are there any particular things about the positioner code that you would like people to test? Thanks.

What we need to look for is things tht don't work correctly, or system crashes. I will post an updated TNAP 5 as time permits, probably sometime in December.

Thanks.

I just installed TNAP5 in slot 4 of the non-plus osmio4k. Front display shows "None" all the time when powered up but shows the correct time in standby. And it has a tendency to reboot on several menu selections. That's my report for now. I went back to TNAP 4.2.

Usually reboots generate a crash report that explains or at least gives an idea of why the receiver rebooted. If you want to help fix it, then provide the crash reports.

Thanks.

Couple more crash logs. One is when opening the EPG menu and the other is when opening the User interface menu.
These two items are tied together with one file causing both problems.

blind scan is not opening no response from that menu item.
I don't "see" this problem. Any additional info would help with the blindscan issue.

Crash log for TNAP-5-Test 2023-01-06.Can't get past the setup wizard. Selected English then on the HDMI selection has a crash.enigma2_crash-TNAP-5-TEST.zip
Edit got past the setup wizard by selecting RCA/ NTSC then after exiting the wizard went to the A/V settings and changed back to HDMI.
The cause of this has been identified.

Tuners & scanning menu scroll down to Satellite Blind scan and click it nothing happens. Manual scan works. I've re flashed the Mio4k+ with Tnap-5 again and didn't restore anything both times. Same issue with blind scan.

I don't have that problem with blindscan.
Anyway, maybe it will get fixed when the other files are corrected. Will try to do that this evening. Excellent work you do finding these issues!!!

An online update should get rid of the menu crash(es).
Will have to look at the blindscan problem a bit. Don't know what is causing that as the problem does not exist in some other receiver models.

Thanks, working fine except blind scan. Did a reinstall and when it booted up did telnet opkg update and opkg upgrade. Got though the wizard and the menu items are ok. What is the telnet command for installing requests on Python 3 for Pluto TV to install and work?

Will have to look for the requests. That can be built with the image I think.

In a way, this image has a ways to go, and in other ways, it is ready. You have the transition from python 2 to 3. Then you are mixing a bit of OE Alliance (OpenVix) code in as well. So it takes a bit to make all this play nice together.

In Telnet:
opkg update
opkg install python3-requests

At the end of the install, you should see:
Configuring python3-chardet.
Configuring python3-ndg-httpsclient.
update-alternatives: Linking /usr/bin/ndg_httpclient to /usr/bin/ndg_httpclient.python3-ndg-httpsclient
Configuring python3-pysocks.
Configuring python3-certifi.
Configuring python3-urllib3.
Configuring python3-requests.

Unzip the attached file and install plugin.py to: /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/Blindscan of receiver files. Restart enigma2 or reboot after doing this, then see if blindscan will work. Thanks.

Your crash shows a Videomode problem. This has been fixed. Please do a software update or in Telnet, opkg update && opkg upgrade

Thanks.
