TNAP-6 Image Discussion

UCLAN Ustym 4K PRO (2x AVL6261). Now tested clean installation 20250110. LAN and WLAN disabled, but after OK they can be activated, wizard completed. Blindscan OK. Activated option - Allow signal below lock (show ok). Sometimes working (maybe Signal finder) with the tuner slows it down extremely, after reboot ok. LOCK SR-405 does not do it (MIO4K+ does). LOCK ShortFrameRate probably also (I don't see the version of the FW used for AVL6261).

Blind scan of 99W Ku took 7 minutes. I would say it worked well catching all tps but is kind of slow. Though 99W has a lot of tps right now. I don't see any non-T2MI or T2MI plugins. How would I change the drivers? The only driver identification I see is "DVB driver version 2021-11-03".

There's no category called "Extra". There are "Extensions". But I looked in every category and didn't find any "T2MI" or "non-T2MI" drivers as I did when using TNAP5.1.

I don't know I got extra on mine. Same image, maybe run software update. I know I did that. Only thing I can think.

The extra driver plugins do exist for TNAP 6 as shown above. Most likely, you have installed all of them without deleting any of them. Navigate to the Plugin menu and press the red remote button for remove Plugins. See if the extra Plugin entries are there. Shown below is the Remove plugins menu.

As test, terminal has been added to webif. This feature can be found on the left side of the webif under extras. Shellinabox provides terminal in the webif. Shellinabox could be thought of as a terminal server and starts automatically at boot. This means shellinabox runs in the background constantly. I am open to thoughts on this feature as to whether it should be kept or deleted. Thanks.

Now I get it. I've never removed any plugins. I had installed all previously at different times to see the differences. I've now stuck with no-T2MI and I can see SNR values below lock.

All those extra plugins do is install a driver file and reboot the receiver. You may uninstall them at anytime, and the files in the receiver will remain unchanged. If you install all 4 of them for example, only the last one installed is valid because the driver file is deleted/reinstalled every time one of the extra plugins is installed.

I think the driver is the same in both versions of TNAP for the MIO4K,
not really knowing where I can see the version I send screenshots of different results.
If I have to change the driver, please explain how, thank you in advance.
For the Edision MIO4K, the blindscan results are very different from one version to another.
For the Uclan Ustym 4K the results are similar.

I checked it out but it is not something I would use but if it is not slowing things down it can be kept.

It should be like an optional in installation menu/wizard or enigma.

PS: Be careful when installing oscam-emu from feed. If you add yours, both will run, as in addition to the sotfcam.xxx file, there is also a bootlogo file.

The EPGimport plugin in the plugins downloads is bad magic in TNAP6. Samsungtvplus plugin is okay with a mod version of EPGimort by developer Lululla.

Here's a new skin from OpenPli 9.1 is okay in TNAP6. Not good for TNAP 5 or 5.1.

105w Is Blindscanning correctly. A modified scan file was missing and will be added in the next update. Scanning may improve after that.

Not a big deal, but my WLAN connection didn't automatically establish after I restarted the Edision. The workaround was to just use Setup>System>Expert settings>Network>WLAN>Restart network to restart the network. I notice now after the online update that the network does automatically reestablish.

The Weather plugin wasn't working. So I removed and reinstalled it. It now is working again.
ADDED: I notice after restarting that the Weather plugin has stopped working again.

Any addition or plugin that has been uploaded should be in the feeds. Please let me know if something is missing.

Transponder timeout times are like this:
20,000 symbol rate = 6 seconds
2,000 symbol rate = 10 seconds
800 symbol rate = 30 seconds
Below 800 symbol rate = 60 seconds

So it will or Should run like this:
Symbol Rates of 20,000 and above, 6 seconds
Symbol rates of 2,000 - 19,999, 10 seconds
Symbol rates of 800 - 1999, 30 seconds
Symbol rates below 799, 60 seconds

The times shown above are supposed to be wait times for signal lock or some sign the transponder is alive. Wait time will probably increase if some sort of activity on the transponder is seen during the wait time period If you happen upon a satellite that has a lot of transponders at or below 2000 symbol rate, then scan time will increase. IMO, not enough time is given for low symbol rate transponders to lock, so it has been extended in TNAP.
