TNAP-6 Image Discussion

A network issue is likely causing DNS loss after a reboot.
After Network Restart, DNS will appear.

What about the install of the 0124 image? That is what i would like to know....Do you still have install problems in image 0124?

the installation of 0124 online was not finished correctly (stopped at 17% after the reboot).
So I installed 0124 via tnapimages.com.
It is also very slow to load on the computer but after the installation was well done on the MIO4k by ‘Downloaded image’.
the problem unfortunately still exists with WLAN and LAN which are both ‘active’ but the IP address is not confirmed, the weather is not displayed and when you want to enter the Lamedb with dreamset it is not possible.
You have to restart the network manually, and then it finally works.
It's true that access to the menus is slow, even very slow, and as I've already said, the blindscan doesn't find everything.

Today everything is more sluggish than yesterday. Even the signal from the box to the dish mover is sluggish.
Maybe because osmio+ cpu has only 2 cores compared with supreme with 4 or more cores cpu !!!
Now i remember having same slugginesh at the begining of 5.1 version. So we all need some patience.

Exactly. It is a "Test Image". TNAP 6 is compiled using Clang and is on the scarthgap branch. Everything else OpenPLi builds today for the public is on the older hardknott branch. So it is not surprising to see some unusual problems or issues in TNAP 6. Other options would be to move back to hardknott or migrate to OE Alliance builds.

There appears to be pieces of two networks running in TNAP 6. I find right after an image install, the Network menu looks exactly like the TNAP 5.1 Network menu. Then after a reboot, the network menu looks different and has both wired and wireless boxes checked. We could disable and do the network interfaces manually, but that is only a good idea for a few that understand how to manually edit the files needed to do that.

image 0124, none fix

This is what is in the image:
service_types_tv = '1:7:1:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:(type == 1) || (type == 17) || (type == 22) || (type == 25) || (type == 31) || (type == 32) || (type == 134) || (type == 195)'
service_types_radio = '1:7:2:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:(type == 2) || (type == 10)'

I will try to add them again. Retest in the next image. Thanks.

with my Ustym 4Kpro ( Si2166D) the online loading went well (it stopped at 25% but after disconnecting and reconnecting the receiver it continued until the end without any problem)
The blindscan works well and is fast (96 transponders in 2'49‘’ whereas the MIO4K finds 76 transponders in 5' with TNAP6), but the programme search after the blindscan is very very slow.( 33 minute)
the Wlan and lan networks are both active; same problem as with the MIO4K, you have to restart the network to confirm the IP number

I can't remember where to find the scan log
I remember, in TMP .
I have to start again, because I changed the image and the result in TMP was erased.

and to compare the same thing with the MIO4K
the result of the blindscan is there, but the result of the programme search is not in the TMP of the MIO4K, whereas it is in the Ustym.

Make a folder named Exactly ServiceScan. Install the ServiceScan folder onto the usb drive and put the usb drive into the receiver. That should be enough tp get the scan files. Else, scan files default to /tmp in the receiver.

In the MIO receiver, What is the exact output of this line in telnet or terminal? du -b /lib/modules/5.15.0/extra/avl6261.ko

Being just a user and not an Enigma2 specialist I don't really understand the question,
This is what I can see. Is it enough?

Your screencap shows 68.068 for the avl6261.ko. This should be the No-T2MI driver. (EDIT: I need to check the file sizes and see what they are as I may be mistaken!)

Now Please boot into TNAP5.1 and show me the same screencap for it. I expect your avl6261.ko driver size will be different in TNAP 5.1.

Initially avl6261.ko was 68.068 in version 6, then I changed to 103.9, hopping for an improvement.
But the only improvement was a 3-4 db gain in the signal quality.

TNAP6-test images dated 0131 should be online and available for download using the receiver or https://www.tnapimages.com/
The 0131 image should have improved networking capabilities.

The following service types are in the 0131 image.
service_types_tv = '1:7:1:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:(type == 1) || (type == 17) || (type == 22) || (type == 25) || (type == 31) || (type == 134) || (type == 195) || (type == 0) || (type == 11) || (type == 192) || (type == C0) || (type == 32) || (type == 20)' # Added type == 0 Added type == B Added type == C0
service_types_radio = '1:7:2:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:(type == 2) || (type == A) ||(type == 10)'
