TNAP-7 Image Discussion

Tried 02-18 Tnap 7 for the sf8008 while in slot 2, flashed online with backup to slot 4. After entering all info via wizard, not able to restore anything because most buttons on rc control don't work. Without the menu button working I can't reboot to a good working image. Had to telnet to receiver and: might try later using no backup option.

I was using Aglare-FHD-PLI . Switched over to PLI-FullnightHD and reflashed with backup to slot 4.
Upon reboot, entered screen resolution, then time zone and it proceeded to restore settings. Buttons are working with this skin and had a timer error displayed. I am guessing because the drivers for the Haupauge atsc modules were not loaded automatically as in prior images.

Will keep using this 02-18 and if anything else pops up I will post.

Aglare skin Problems:
1. Missing size attributes on eLabel elements (causes parser crashes)
2. RollerCharLCD renderer issues (NoneType errors)
3. MainMenu incompatibility (missing active_components attribute)
4. Modal dialog problems

Aglare is a wonderful skin. But it is wrecking this particular enigma2. Aglare is currently on the feeds server. It will be removed tomorrow and some updated images should be available.

We are about halfway through the image and Main Image features. Hopefully we will be able to include Aglare back at some point because it is a nice skin.

TNAP 7 Is currently the only image I know of for the 6 supported receivers that is running Yocto Whinlatter and Python 3.14.3. The Whinlatter branch is set to lose support in a couple of months, so it is a transition build of sorts I guess.

Building with Whinlatter now should give us an advantage when Wrynose becomes available in a couple of months. Wrynose should be a long term supported branch to probably 2030.

Anyway, Back to the task at hand. Thanks for testing!

LOL.
OK. Now access to tnapimages.com or images from tnapimages.com in the receiver should be available. Let it be known if problems still exist in this area!

Showing Satellite Signal below lock in receivers that support it is an option in TNAP images. The enigma2 code has to be edited or altered to allow this, and the edits may cause erratic signal display on some Edision and other receiver drivers. The signal below lock feature may be toggled On or Off as shown in the Antenna settings. This option is available for users that do not need signal below lock or users that are using tuners/drivers that do not support the feature.

The setting shown below should be available in TNAP 7 images dated 0225 or later:

tnap-7-allow_signal_below_lock_20260224143431.webp

Just fresh installed 0224, and after wifi settings opened info menu: when trying to open "receiver", "tuners" & "storage" submenus,
the box (mio4k+), crashed. Maybe you can look at these issues for tomorrow new version.
Is not important for me, but for the future:
