TNAP-7 Image Discussion

Excellent! Thanks.
That narrows this down considerably. The next test should be:
1. Stay on Heroes ET SD.
2. Make a manual recording for 30–60 seconds.
3. Verify the .ts is created and plays.
4. Then create a brand-new one-time timer for Heroes ET SD, starting 1–2 minutes later and lasting 1 minute.
Verify these recordings work and are in the proper location.
Turns out that I had to initialize the thumb drive since it would not mount. Never had this problem during earlier upgrades including earlier TNAP7 releases. Recordings are working fine now.

Yeah... I agree something has changed. Network Manager updates. Let me know if you have more problems or issues. What is not known usually is not fixed. Thanks.

Whenever I do a Full Restart or Restart Enigma I get the message: "[4] updated package available:...
When I had 0916 installed, I did the huge online update (190? updates) and this issue, which I used to get, returned. Also, an issue where my /media/usb path was named /media/MASTER returned. I thought the easiest way to resolve was just wait until a new image was posted. This happened with 1002. I installed that image and both issues disappeared. 1002 works fine. My conclusion: don't do updates when the number of updates is large. Just back up settings and the existing image then do a fresh image install in a different slot. The only thing manual required is to re-install the plugins you like which is pretty simple.

After upgrading to TNAP7 (October 2, 2026), I lost the ability to keep the HDD mounted. I can mount the drive through the setup menus, make a manual recording, reboot, did another manual recording but got a message that stated that no HDD found or isn't initialized. I can manually mount the HDD, do a recording but a reboot won't mount the drive.

Looks like the SamsungTv plugin got broke with 10/02 online update. So flashed the 10/02 image on the sf8008 and same problem. Says some plugins are not available: Extensions/ SamsungTVCockpit {No modual named 'Components. Sources.COCCurrentService'}

@ the red Highlighted. I got the same message on my Edision MIO 4K, after the October 2nd upgrade too!:confused:

I updated to the 10/05 image and ran the online update package on 10/6 on my Edision mio 4k and I'm unable to access my inserted USB. It shows it connected on the information screen and shows up on the mount page but I can't find it in my media player or file commander and it won't let me make a backup. What could I try?

E.B., Since the Edision didn't recognize the USB I was unable to update to 20261006 but after numerous attempts, it finally went through and the USB is now showing up. I was able to do a backup of the previous version too but this update made me lose all my settings even though I asked for a restore. Is there an easy way to get them back so I don't have to program every satellite and motor position again?

Sorry you had so much trouble! Look on the usb drive that you were using and see if there is a folder named backup as that folder will have al of your settings backups in it. Or you may look directly in the receiver and see if you have a backup on the usb that can be restored. Menu--->Setup--->Software management--->Restore system settings.... Any backups you have in the attached usb drive should be displayed.

Just an update on my USB recognition issue. I restored TNAP 6 then flashed the 20261006 TNAP 7 file from E.B. All was fine until I went to restore the settings from the menu. Got the dreaded green screen and it just kept looping the boot process. Some sort of software problem. My solution was to boot into an old Satdreamgr 8 I had in slot 2. That allowed me to use the USB and flash the above TNAP 7 but this time no restore-I'm putting all back in manually. Thanks E.B.
