We just got back from the Vet emergency hospital after spending about four hours there. We had to have Trixie put down due to fluid around her heart. Looks like she had cancer and the sack burst with the fluid.
Good thing we brought her into the emergency vet or she may have not survived the night and it would have been a painful death. But she died peacefully. Trixie was the longest lasting (fourteen years) companion that we adopted.
