TNAP-6 Image Discussion

New version of TNAP6
the new plugins are here.
CPUMonitor is visible, but I don't know how to set the limits.
the backup is done without any problem.
My first impression is that there is no longer any slowdown.
Blindscan remains with its problem.

You can set the "cpu usage threshold" with left &/or right arrows.

After a clean install of 0902, there are many duplicates in the Plugins from different repos

I only use the first 4 places for the different images.
Maybe the problem comes from the use of places 5; and 6
I don't know.

If an SD card is inserted, plugins from PurE2 (MultiBoot Slot 5) are also displayed in Plugins.
If there is no SD card, only plugins for TNAP are displayed.
Is there a fix?

I personally don't know about a fix because I do not run extended slots. And that is not a TNAP problem.
The receiver is designed for 4 slots. Most likely, Whoever designed it to have more than 4 slots needs to fix it. Maybe if more time becomes available, the problem can be looked at here, but running outside the 4 slots is the most likely problem. Right now, TNAP 6 has to be debugged, and not extra slot issues.

The cpu plugin continues to be modified. More changes in the image are needed to make it function as designed. The first version of this plugin may/may not work. The updated version appears to be working as designed. The version shown below will be in the next image update.

You must already have it installed on the sf8008. The Mio4k didn't have it in the feeds and not pre installed.

Did an online update to version feb. 12 on mio4k+.
Try to do a backup, but never completed after 1+hr, and on 2 diff usb sticks:

backup1.webpbackup2.webp
Had to unplug the box, as it is unresponsive...

Also same (or worse), sluggish box exiting "signal finder" option.

I have not checked the backupsuite function in the MIO receiver that I have. Backupsuite works correctly on my sf8008. So let's forget about that issue for a brief minute.

In the Receiver's Plugin Menu, Do you see a plugin named "CPU Usage Monitor"? If you do, scroll down and open the menu on it. Next, Press the green remote button to start logging. Verify the message says 'Status: Logging Started' and press the blue remote button to exit. Then do whatever you want with the receiver, but Do not restart enigma2 or reboot. Go into service scan or whatever slows the receiver down. Watch tv...etc. But make sure you do whatever it is that slows the receiver down. Then go into the the /tmp of the receiver files and get the 'cpu_monitor.log'. Zip the log and attach it to a post. This is what the plugin screen should look like when it is logging:
cpu-monitor-screen1.webp

Note: Just because you see numbers moving and changing doesn't mean logging has started! You have to manually start the logging process. There is a threshold alarm that will be seen on the receiver. You may change the threshold by using the right and left arrow buttons.

Next, Do you have telnet or terminal capability? If yes, then log into the receiver and type htop A monitor screen will appear and show the vitals of your receiver, plus the files that are using the most resources. See if you can gain some information from htop about which file is slowing the receiver down.

As it stands right now, I don't have much clue about the slowing of your receiver. And backsuite hasn't been checked. A bit more information about the receiver slowing issue might help. Thanks.

A check of the BackupSuite plugin on the Edision MIO4K receiver returns No Errors. Most likely, when you find out why BackupSuite is not working, then you will also find the receiver performs better.

i haven't tried everything yet but
the backup lasted 3 times longer than with the february 9 version? ( post 136)
in zip datei the cpu monitor, you can see that when I do a signal finder it goes up to 51%.
and also the backup suite

I don't know what the problem is with the sluggish (I did have the problem at first) but I have it fixed on my end without knowing what I did to fix it. Got to be in something in the plugins pre-installed in the image because I uninstalled a lot of the plugins and installed some different ones. Sorry I am no help at all at this point. Later today I will reflash and see what I can find out if I can.
