Hi Bandido, could i just add more info at the Nfusion's problem.
I know because i am having the exact same problem
I have 2 receivers: Edision Os Mio+ 4K and Octagon SF8008 Supreme twin version 3
As you know
Edision: Availink
Octagon: Silabs
Both receivers TNAP6
At satellite 101w Edision receiver's blind scan is perfect, not a single bug or error.
Problem here is the Octagon, every time i do a blindscan at 101w, i didnt get the MGM channels at 4060 H 30000, why? idk
Why i know is that if i perform a transponder blindscan, the octagon download this specific transponder as 4066 H 30000, most of the time as 4066, sometimes as 4065, and some other times as 4067 or as high as 4070, and when the blind scan goes to the step number 2 that is getting channels from transponders, when its time to download channels from 4066 H 30000 it does nothing, not a single MGM channel is downloaded it just skip this tp in particular and we got no MGM channels at all.
But if i perform a Manual scan, using the correct frequency 4060 H 30000, boom! i get all MGM channels, every time.
Now just for the record, i know different tuners, sometimes, give different frequency or tps, i mean, for example in Edision i have the MTV tp as 4100 H 30000 and Octagon the same MTV tp as 4101 H 30000. One extra point does not make a difference at all, i still got all channels on this tp on Edision 4100 and Octagon at 4101, the problem is when Octagon adds more than 5 points i guess? to the transponder, on the MGMs at 101w most of the time octagon add 6 additional points (4066 H) and that translates to zero channels downloaded at blindscan just in this particular tp.
I know you could say just perform a Manual Scan, download those MGM channels and problem solved, but, i do a lot of blind scanning almost every day, and its kind of annoying doing manual scan all the time, knowing that Edision OS Mio+ works great on every satellite blindscan.
Is there anything Bandido that you could fix in TNAP6 specifically for the Octagon SF8008 v3 that could solve this problem?
This is a driver problem and has nothing to do with the enigma2 image. The problem exists in the finding of the transponders, not in the processing of the transponders, and this is why it is most likely a driver type problem.
Let's turn your SF8008 v3 into an Ustym4kpro. Let's see if the problem exist there. Fair WARNING: This procedure may cause you to reload the slot, so know how to recover the receiver from a corrupted slot or Do Not do this! I have used this procedure on Octagon and Ustym without errors, be prepared just in case!
We want to delete /lib/modules/4.4.35/
extra folder and replace it with the attached
extra folder. Here is the procedure:
(1) Download attached extra.zip and unzip it. Place it in a folder or some other known location on your computer. (Maybe put the unzipped folder inside a folder named ustym.)
(2) Open up a terminal and telnet into the SF8008 v3. send
init 4 to stop enigma2.
(3) Navigate to /lib/modules/4.4.35/ and copy the extra folder to your computer. Put it in a location where it is accessible. (Maybe make a folder named sf8008 and copy the extra folder into it.)
(4)
Delete the extra folder from the receiver and replace it with the unzipped extra folder you downloaded.
(5) In terminal, enter this command:
chmod +x load Next, type
ls -la and verify load is executable (green), Then type
reboot.
When the receiver reboots, it will be displayed as Ustym4kPro. You may verify this in the About page of the receiver. Now test blindscan and see if the problem still exists.
If there is a problem, simply telnet back into the receiver, and again use
init 4 to stop enigma2, then replace the extra folder with the original one for the SF8008.
The file system for the SF8008 and Ustym4kPro are almost identical. This procedure will work, but whether or not it solves the blindscan issue remains to be seen.
