TNAP-7 Image Discussion

Speaking of 117W Ku, what's the logic behind some of the the encrypted Tigo channels turning up on a free-only scan? (LyngSat shows them as Conax and Verimatrix -- I have no idea why it lists two systems...)

I gotta ask: What consumer grade receiver lists "Free" and "Encrypted" channels to perfection? None that I know of. Why isn't NIT set to identify properly? For some of this, look no further than your friendly neighborhood uplinker.

I think you will find Free-only scan result = “Enigma2 did not see CA metadata.” It does not mean: Free-only scan result = “This service is definitely FTA.”

Dual encryption = simulcrypt. Simulcrypt can be used for various reasons, including transitioning from one encryption method to another.

If I'm not mistaken, the "Only free scan" option checks a parameter in the SDT. If the broadcaster marks it as FTA, even though the PMT actually contains information about encryption, Enigma will classify such an encrypted channel as FTA.

A minor issue with SoftCam - nCam
install create folder /etc/tuxbox/config/ncam
but init contains the path
exec start-stop-daemon -S -x /usr/bin/ncam -- -b -r 2 -c /etc/tuxbox/config
Then its files are written to /etc/tuxbox/config instead of /etc/tuxbox/config/ncam

The ncam init script line 23 sets -c /etc/tuxbox/config but do_install creates /etc/tuxbox/config/ncam. Also line 64 installs config files to /etc/tuxbox/config/ instead of /etc/tuxbox/config/ncam/. Both are fixed and hopefully this will solve your issue in the next update or build.

Why are we installing an old plugin?
WebAdmin is trying to import code from the old WebInterface plugin.
Uninstall it: opkg remove enigma2-plugin-extensions-webadmin Or use the receiver's menus.

All multistream transponders do not lock? Some of them? Or just one? Any examples???

I guess updating gstreamer, openssl, and python, plus adding cosmetics to the scan screens broke multistream? Interesting, but hard to connect those dots...Anything is possible.

EXACTLY, which image are you running?
Lately there has been three last images so it helps to know which one. Including the Enigma2 version along with the image build helps.
Example:
Enigma2 version: 2026-07-03
Image build: 2026-07-03 13:19:42 UTC

Hello
I’m experiencing a crash with the latest version of TNAP7 on my Edision MIO4K after a blind scan, whilst it’s searching for channels
Here are some screenshots and the crash log (which doesn’t reveal much)

@Stephan,
Seems I have a bug in ServiceScan. If you can, in telnet:
init 4
ENIGMA_DEBUG_LVL=5 enigma2 > /tmp/enigma.log 2>&1

Then repeat. The crash log will be in the receiver in /tmp, named enigma.log
Also, Is multi-stream working? Thanks.

We are fixing to have some images that produce proper logs. The work has already been done.

Some of the ServiceScan code has been edited and re-written which may solve the scanning crash. The current Online update will update ServiceScan.

Later today, online updates and images with full crash log writes should be available. Right now, crash logs are better, but not producing full output. So another update, probably in a few hours will follow...

Thanks for making the change via Telnet.
It’s now working perfectly – just a quick note. At the end of the blind scan, it says it’s C-band, even though everything is in KU-band.
The multi-streams have been found and are working fine.

Qviart Dual:
- If I leave the channel list open, the clock freezes.
- If I restart Enigma2 after installing the InfoBarWeather plugin, the image keeps restarting in a loop.
If I recall correctly, this bug wasn't present in the image from June 30th.

Hello el bandido
The translation is now correct at the end of the scan.
However, C-band is still displayed after the channel search (even though satellite verification is no longer enabled).
The dB value for frequencies that are not locked is incorrect; it remains at the value of the last locked frequency.
(With version 6xx of TNAP, this worked correctly.)
