TNAP-6 Image Discussion

Work has begun on TNAP 7. If nothing changes, this will be custom build that is neither OpenPLi or OE Alliance, but instead has sources from both. Metas, or where the information resides to build for a particular receiver such as meta-octagon do not exist in this build and have to be manually added. This one promises to be different, providing it can be built to perform in a reliable manner. Sources to build an image such as this do not yet exist for OpenPLi or OE Alliance. We will see:

I'm using TNAP6 with 2025-11-29 updates, Enigma version 2025-07-19 (scarthgap) on my Edision OS Mio+ receiver. I have often used the new feature where you can copy an entire satellite's scanned results to a bouquet with one command while the satellite list is showing: Menu>Copy to bouquets.

When this works, it's fantastic. But it doesn't always work completely. After a reboot, a newly created bouquet might show instead N/A in place of the bouquet name and the bouquet is not available. I notice that when the command doesn't work that the necessary file in etc/enigma2 is not created. For example, the bouquet for 117.0W Ku is called: userbouquet.117.0WKu-bandEutelsat117WestAB-Services.tv.

As a workaround, I have been manually creating some bouquets using the remote control as in past. However, this has led to the Webif application not being able to list the bouquets. As a test, I deleted all bouquet files, then recreated a few using only the Copy to bouquets command. Doing this allowed me to once again see the bouquets in the Webif application.

Not sure if it's important...but I also use the iptv-org playlists plugin that automatically creates a bouquet for selected items. This plugin appears to work well.

I wonder if others are experiencing this?

That image was made almost 4 months ago??? It is very difficult to go back and revisit a stale image to look for clues as to why that is happening. Try flashing the 20260121 TNAP 6.1 image and see if the problem is still there. I can work with that image. The exact files for TNAP 6 I no longer have.

Never knew this newer TNAP6 image was there. I upgraded online with it. I chose to auto-install rather than doing a clean new install which I usually prefer. If I don't resolve the issue, then I'll do a clean install and rescan the satellites.

I am seeing something similar with N/A still appearing after reboot but it seems to now even appear before I reboot in some cases. If you can check quickly just to see if you see the symptom, that would be useful. But don't spend too much time since it may just be some corruption in my receiver files.

I'm going to try erasing all bouquet associated files and build them again to see if this resolves it.
